"Thanks for the quick reply on a supplier in B.C.. I will call them to see if they will do a mail order, as I live in Victoria on Vancouver Island. A ferry ride and a long drive away. It has been of benefit to me in protecting topographic maps which I use on my hunting trips to northern British Columbia. As advertised, it holds up to weather, mud and snow. It allows me to plot on them and erase the marks later. Also it makes the maps very durable."
Thanks again, Chris
"Here in Arizona where I live, waterproofing is not much of an issue. I really like your product though, because it "hardens" maps as well as waterproofs them. I am the father of a 2nd class boy scout. I routinely purchase USGS Quadrangles for wherever their troop goes to hike or camp. To date, I have never had to replace a map due to wear after I have treated them with your product. Some of these maps are over 4 years old! I have used about 20oz of your product so far this year alone, and my only regret is that your company does not sell Map Seal in any size larger than 16oz!"
Keep up the great work,
Subject: MapSeal application tip
"I have found that it is much easier for me to use silicone coated parchment paper (the kind used for baking) when I am coating my maps with MapSeal. The maps can be turned over even if tacky and they will not stick to this paper even if the map is allowed to dry while sticking to the parchemnt. I can lay the map flat and take as much time as I like working the product into the paper."
