Dear Julie:

I enjoyed talking with you the other day. My wife and I have been hikers and backpackers even before we bought our business inn 1983. I have used many products to seal our leather boots over those years. Some didn't work at all, wet feet, and some were difficult to apply and soften the leather. We have used and sold AquaSeal for the last 6 years. In that time our feet have always remained dry and the leather has held up to rugged use on rock and scree. We believe in leather boots and the simplicity of the use of cow hide. I've never seen a cow die from a rain storm.

In November of 1995 we were on Larkey Pass in the Manasulu Region of Nepal. It started snowing around 4:30 P.M.. It was a heavy wet snow that comes from temperatures around 34 degrees. We started over the pass at 4:30 AM the next morning. The snow was around 2 feet deep and it was still snowing. After 6 hours we still were not near the pass and the snow had reached to about 4 feet in depth. You could ring the water from your gloves. We turned around and headed back down. After 7 hours more we reached a village for the night. All during this time our feet remained dry without having on gaiters. Unfortunate, I stepped into a stream up to my thigh and got water inside my boot. Yet the next day as the sun came out our boots dried enough to start our return trek down.

After two days we found out that the freak storm had killed 63 people with many people losing feet to frost bite. It helped to convince us even more of your products superiour sealing and conditioning properties. We continue to look forward to selling and using Aquaseal.

Respectfully,

Dave
